S.H.I.F.T. Readiness

Answer 10 quick questions to see where you are in the S.H.I.F.T. journey — and the step that needs your focus now.

When you look at your current situation — money, habits, results — how do you see it?

It's just how things are. People in my position don't get much say.

I know some of it could change, but I mostly see the obstacles.

I see it clearly — including the parts my own choices created, and can change.

When something goes wrong, your first explanation is usually…

Bad luck, bad timing, or other people.

A mix — some circumstances, some me.

I ask what I can learn and what I would do differently.

Listen to how you talk about money and your future. It sounds most like…

"I can't afford it." "That will never happen for me."

"I'm trying." "Hopefully it works out."

"I'm building it." "Here's my next step."

When you catch yourself saying something negative about yourself, you…

Don't catch it — it just blends into the day.

Notice it sometimes, usually after the fact.

Hear it in the moment and choose different words.

A familiar trigger hits — stress, a bill, a hard conversation. Your pattern is…

The same reaction as always, before I even think.

I pause sometimes; other times the old pattern wins.

I can stop mid-pattern and choose a different response.

When you slip into an old habit, how long before you course-correct?

Weeks — or I don't; I just plan to start over someday.

A few days, once I notice the damage.

The same day — I reset and keep moving.

If someone asked who you're becoming, you could…

Not really answer — I haven't thought about it that way.

Describe it vaguely — "better," "more successful."

Describe that person clearly — how they think, decide, and live.

Your daily choices match the person you want to become…

Rarely — I mostly live from who I've been.

On my good days.

Consistently — I decide the way that person would.

When you set a goal, what happens next?

I get motivated, then it fades within days.

I take some action, but there's no real system behind it.

I take a specific next step and put it on my calendar.

Looking at the last 30 days, your actions and your intentions…

Don't match — I know what to do; I just don't do it.

Match about half the time.

Match — I do what I said I would do.
